Set among the redwood trees and only a short drive from Silicon Valley, the Art Barn on Timmus is a community art space in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We offer various classes and workshops for kids, teens, and adults. Our classes explore different mediums and modalities (from art to music, drumming to breathwork), using creativity as a tool to foster social emotional learning, and facilitate methods for healing, connection and spiritual growth.Â
Jenn Viane Riese
Jenn is versed in various studio art mediums and always seeks to expand her creative experiences. She received her BA in English from Santa Clara University, studied Buddhism and Psychology through Harvard Extension, and is a trained Social Emotional Arts Facilitator through UCLAarts and Healing.
Michael Riese
A horse trainer with an innate connection to the spirit of each animal, Mike brings his passion and talents with hands-on, educational horsemanship and natural training equine programs. Trained by two of the most well-respected horse trainers in the world, Buck Branaman and Ray Berta, Mike (along with his daughter Kiera) works with horses and horse owners and offers horsemanship classes for kids.
